Funny Pictures of Our Yorkie Bichon Mix
Like all dogs, Jack has a mind of his own and it’s one funny mind at that! I wish we were constantly taking pictures of Jack because we miss great photo opportunities. Imagine a picture of him trying to jump onto our bed and not quite making it or him tumbling feet over head trying to stop when he saw something interesting. He is a very curious and energetic dog at times and at other times he is so docile we like to call him our “Poseable Puppy”…we can literally put him in any position we want and he’ll stay. For those that want to know what kind of demeanor a Yorkie Bichon puppy dog has… it’s a kind, friendly dog who loves to be chased around the kitchen table but at the same time beat you to the couch in order to sit on your lap. They are very smart dogs as well and can quickly get a treat out of a kong toy by throwing it up in the air and letting it hit the ground. Jack amazes us at times.

Jack is too cute…. I just recently got a Yorkichon…Goldie is my little baby girl. It is so funny to sit here and look at Jack’s pictures because him and Goldie could be twins…. they even have the same bed. Lol! I see they have all the same traits…. Goldie loves to lay or sleep on her back, she thinks the couch is hers, she takes off running full speed ahead in what I call her obstacle course she goes from the back to the front around the furniture and back again. Oh my I can go on and on, but now I know that she is true to her breed.
Goldie was born 10/28/2009 I got her January 29, 2010 and it was love at first sight… your picture with Jack in your lap while driving reminds me of my husband (who didn’t want a little dog)but has taken over.

I have noticed a lot of yorkie bichon mixes look very similar. Do you have pictures? She must be so cute and little!!
His birthday is 10/30/07 How funny is that? He is definitely a lap dog, always needs to be close when we are around. And he definitely prefers people over other dogs.

Jack definitely has many of the traits you listed for Goldie. Jack runs in a huge circle around the couches to the dinning room table. He loves the top part of the couch cushions. I wish I could say we still had that dog bed, but he has gone through so many that we have stopped buying them. He never actually slept in in, just chewed the corners til it fell apart. He prefers our bed now. lol. Jack will roll over the second you walk over so you will rub his belly. And actually, Jack was also born in October..

I have a new puppy named, Jobi and he sleeps exactly like that on my lap in the car!
I bet he won’t move for nothing either! Jack has to have his chin or legs resting on one of my arms. Makes it hard to turn the wheel sometimes LOL
I can’t resist letting you know what a kick we got from reading about Jack. We have a 3 year old yorkie bichon named Swish, who has an older brother TC. Swish could be Jacks long lost twin. Swish loves the top of couches, we think he is part cat! Swish loves posing in the corner of couches lounging like a human. He also roles over all the time to get his belly rubbed and can’t quite jump up on our bed but won’t stop trying. Once up on the bed, he sleeps under the covers all night just like a human.
Thanks so much for writing, Brian. Its amazing how many people write to say their yorkie bichon looks just like Jack. And how many people say their pup must be part cat or part human. Jack will literally sleep with his head on the pillow in between us. Swish is such a cute name! Good luck with the winter coming….we are the only ones in our condo complex shoveling the snow OFF the grass so Jack will have a place to go potty!

Wow! Beautiful! My boy ChowDer looks EXACTLY the same, same personality, everything (even when he is wet he looks so tiny), except his hair is all blond… other than that they could be long lost twins! Another thing, ChowDer will run SO fast to fetch his orange monkey, he will stop on the dime and go tumbling over! He truly is a character! As soon as we brought him home, he was all over the couch, somehow he just knew he belonged, very smart, anything else you think we should know about Yorkie Bichon? I am a first time dog owner so if you have any advice, i am willing to hear! thanks for sharing!
hahaha, I wish I could see ChowDer tumble over. Jack never did that, he would always slow down or run past the toy.
My best tip I could give anyone is to just make sure to keep your dog happy by exercising him at least twice a day. He will be so much happier and will be a better dog for it.

Omg Jack is so adorable, as I am sure many of the other Yorkie Bichons are too! In July, I just adopted a Yorkie Bichon, her name is Amber. She is 6 months now, born May 2, 2011! She is a huge part of the family.
Thanks to your site, I am able to relate more to her mix breed. I know all dogs, like people, are unique, but everyone’s comments has helped me understand more. Amber is the most energetic, playful, protective little thing. I agree with Brian on part cat, Amber jumps so high and with such swiftness and precision, from the chair to the top of the dinner table, on and off the couch, or my bed… It’s hilarious!

I love the pix of Jack! I just got a Yorkie Bichon yesterday. Her name is Izzy (short for Isabella). I think she will look EXACTLY like Jack when she gets older. Thanks for sharing your pix.
